Bear Stearns warns against airline stocks due to 'imminent' bird flu
Investment bank Bear Stearns has advised investors to start dumping airline and retail stocks in favour of blue-chip utilities as a hedge against bird flu, warning that a full human pandemic of the H5N1 virus could set off the worst global stock market crash since the 1930s.

Add it all up, and it takes roughly seven minutes and 10 seconds!! to go from the first time I saw anything onscreen to actually seeing the movie. Fast Play? They call that Fast Play?

Alabama cow tests positive for mad cow disease
Another group, Consumers Union, said the government should test all cattle over the age of 20 months at slaughter for mad cow, not just older cattle now sampled. Food and Consumer Watch said USDA’s budget proposal for fiscal 2007 would scale back the “surveillance” testing to 40,000 head a year.

Intelligent Design Polls Abound
Today there have been three different polls from Zogby, Gallup and Harris, respectively, about Americans' views on intelligent design and creationism. They all seem to agree on one thing. Most Americans are total idiots.
I have to get out of this country.
